Understanding Animal Research Oceania's aims

UAR Oceania works to help everyone to understand how and why animal-based research benefits society.

We do this by:

  • Enabling an open conversation about the use of animals in science between the research and policy communities and the public across the Oceania region
  • Building networks to share ideas and good practices in both animal sciences and communication.
  • Ensuring a beneficial and supportive operating environment through which polices and practices allow for and promote high-quality and high-welfare science at is carried out in line with public expectations.
