Regulation

Here we cover the regulation that governs animal use in research in Australia and New Zealand. In Oceania's countries, as elsewhere, regulation aims to be comprehensive and balanced while minimising the administrative burden on researchers. Regulation must also allow for public scrutiny, and where there are not express requirements for public reporting, freedom of information laws allow people to request information about how animals are used in research.
